What's after The Biggest Loser???

With less than 3 weeks left of our 4th Biggest Loser, what's next?? Well, there is exactly 10 weeks before our 5th edition begins and lots and lots of "holiday cheer" in between!

Obviously, the goal is to keep a healthy lifestyle after TBL BUT sometimes the holidays can be quite challenging for ALL of us! The holiday parties, drinking, eating, etc.

We have had numerous requests from our Biggest Losers to do some sort of maintenance program in between the 4th and 5th competition AND for the holidays. Our staff is working on what might work out best. Do we start the week immediately following the final weigh in of our current competition and run for 6 weeks taking us right up to Christmas? Do we have  break after TBL and start right after Thanksgiving and still go for 6 weeks taking us through New Years?  OR do we start after Thanksgiving and run for 4 weeks until Christmas? Hmmmmm....Any thoughts?? I will keep you posted!

Less than 3 weeks until the final weigh in!

Who will be our 4th Biggest Loser??

The final weigh in is less than 3 weeks away and I know all the participants are working hard on their diets and exercise!

The thing is this though...although it is a wonderful achievement to be The Biggest Loser, our goal at Hampton Hill is to prepare each participant for life AFTER The Biggest Loser...Making wise food choices and exercising regularly through changing daily habits and routines. THAT is our goal and it IS working!

Before TBL, a simple decision like pulling through a drive through at a fast-food restaurant was common AND easier BUT now that simple decision has changed into a well thought out plan for lunch or at least one that makes wiser food choices. (Not to say you can't get half way decent food at fast food restaurants) The point is to plan AND make better food choices each and every day and that is what we are doing!

Waiting for results...

On your mark, get set, GO!!!

Our challenge last Sunday was a 2-mile run/walk! Since some teams weigh more than others, and to create a "fair" playing field, the teams placed based on the average weight of the team divided by the average time of the team. These were the results based on that formula...

1st place - Garnet
2nd place - Pink
3rd place - Red
4th place - Brown
5th place - Purple
6th place - Green
7th place - Black

Congratulations to all of The Biggest Loser participants! Job well done!

2ND CHALLENGE and WEIGH IN

The Biggest Losers are currently in their 7th week of the competition and are getting ready for the toughest challenge of all at the 8 week mark...a 2 mile run!

Remember, many of these participants have never walked a block, much less walked/run 2 miles! They all start at Hampton Hill and pass Target going toward Pelham Road, they take a right past Pier 1 Imports and head on around Pelham to Rosewood. That is a pretty gradual downward portion of road until they get closer to Rosewood where there is a slight hill but it is then that they begin to realize what is ahead of them right around the corner...the Garners Ferry Hill!! The one that will lead them to their finish!! Folkes, I am not sure if you have ever run this hill yourself but it is H-A-R-D!

Come out and cheer them on on Sunday October 17th at 5:00!!! Shoot! Bring you running shoes and join them!
